We encourage the wearing of
uniform, as we
believe it promotes teamwork and a positive attitude.
In Summer 2010 we carried out consultations with children
and parents, resulting in some key changes to our uniform
for September 2010: blue replaced grey as our school colour, and we decided that
parents should be able to purchase uniform from local stores
as well as from our 'official' supplier. We changed our
supplier to ICE Sportswear, based in Grangetown.
We held a design competition for our pupils during early
2011, and this resulted in an attractive new badge. You can
read the story behind our new badge
here. ICE
Sportswear can supply pre-badged uniform, or (from September
2011) you can
purchase sew-on or iron-on badges - it's your choice.
The story of our Uniform initiative is
told
here. Our full Uniform Policy is set out in an 'All You
Need to Know' pamphlet, published in June 2011 - you can get
a copy from the school foyer or you can download a PDF copy
here.
You can order uniform via the school office. An order form
is available from school, or can be downloaded
here.
In Autumn 2011 we will be sending out a 'customer
satisfaction' survey to all parents, so that we can gather
your views on how this initiative is going so far. We would
like to thanks parents for your patience throughout all of
these changes.
