LingLing visited us recently to work with
years 5 & 6. She told the children about her life as a
school teacher in Shanghai, and showed them photographs of
the pupils she had taught.
She also taught them about other Chinese customs linked to
the New Year, and about aspects of culture such as Chinese
Opera and Kung Fu.
The children learned several Mandarin words and phrases,
including 'hello', 'how are you', goodbye' and, of course,
Happy New Year!
