A couple of weeks ago, 36
children from years 4,5 and 6 went on a residential visit to
Derwent Hill.
We had a fantastic weekend packed full of activities and new
adventures.
When we first arrived we sorted out our beds and
dormitories. Then we went for a night walk where we had to
read maps and walk around Lake Derwentwater.
The scenery was fabulous, we even saw baby lambs and sheep.
The activities that the different groups took part in
included, rock climbing or a ropes course, gorge walking and
canoeing or kayaking.
On the Saturday evening we got to do some more map reading
in the grounds.
It was a really fun weekend where everyone tried something
different.
