International Links

We place great value upon giving our children the chance to learn about the wider world. After all, as the ancient saying goes, we are 'birds of the same nest'. Our Curriculum is already rich in opportunities for pupils to experience other cultures, including an annual 'International Week'.

The partnership we set up in 2011 - with a school in China, and in 2012 - with a school in Nepal, have gone from strength to strength, providing children and staff with many opportunities to enrich and extend their learning. We also teach Spanish across the school.

We are linked with Tribidya Shikchhya Sadan (Trissa), in Kathmandu, Nepal. Trissa also has a school in Chitwan, to the west of Nepal. Five of our staff have visited Nepal,  and staff from Trissa have visited Grangetown. Click here to find out more.

In September 2017 we will start teaching French in years 1-6. We are excited about this, and feel that this will be ideal preparation for the children for their eventual move to Southmoor (where French is the main foreign language taught). We are sure that the children will enjoy learning a new language, and gaining insights into French culture. Click here to find out more.

We have a partner school - Shuiguohu Primary School - in Wuhan, China. The link has led to some exciting curriculum projects, which the children have enjoyed. Staff from Shuiguohu visited us in 2012, 2014 and 2015, and several of our staff visited China in 2013 and 2015. Click here to find out more. We have established a link with Branxton pre-school, in New South Wales, Australia. Our Early Years children sent a teddy to Branxton, and we have been exchanging photos and emails.
