Sea Less Plastic Project

Beach visit

Year 6 had a fantastic day at Roker beach as part of the Sea Less Plastic Project.

The first activity involved the children being a beach scavenger. They were given a list of objects that they had to find on the beach, such as the shell with the most stripes or a piece of driftwood.

The second activity involved making the smelliest liquid they could using the natural objects on the beach and seawater!

They then had the challenge to build the most interesting sandcastle display that they could.

After lunch, the children headed to the rocks, where they got the opportunity to explore the habitat of rock pools and the living creatures that may live there.
