¿Qué día es hoy?

Spanish

Year 6 have been working hard and collaborating with pupils from ‘Colegio la Enseñanza’ (Spain) as part of our project ‘eTwinning Noticias TV: We are active citizen journalists’.

We have been celebrating the digital citizenship weeks (10-27th October) learning about how to stay safe on the internet. We have created our own ‘digital pledge’, some videos, collages and a poster competition. Great job Year 6! ¡Fantástico!

Year 5 continue working on their topic: ‘Yo viajo a Barcelona’ (‘I travel to Barcelona’. We have been recapping the singular form of regular verbs (Yo, tú, él, ella) and we have just introduced the plural form (nosotros, vosotros and ellos). We have played the game ‘El espía’ (The spy) and we’ve even made  our own version of the Barcelona FC anthem with the ‘green screen’ app.

Year 4 are doing a great job learning ‘Los días de la semana’ (The days of the week). We have been singing the song ‘¿Qué día es hoy?’ (What day is it today?), and we’ve been creating rap dances. How do you say in Spanish ‘Monday, Thursday and Friday’?

Year 3 have been recapping greetings through games and the song ‘Hola, Hola’ - they have been creating their own rap version and working hard in their new Spanish notebooks. We completed the lyrics of the song ‘Hola, hola’ and took notes of the vocabulary and structures of the unit. What does ‘Estoy mal’ and ‘Hasta mañana’ mean?

Years 1 and 2 are making a great progress while learning greetings and colours. We’ve learnt the question ¿De qué color es? What colour is it? How do you say red, yellow and blue in Spanish? ¡Bien hecho chicos y chicas!
