Fiesta Española

Spanish Day

On the final Wednesday of the Summer Term, we celebrated our third annual Spanish Day - our Fiesta Española - and what a magical day it turned out to be!

Apart from all the engaging activities that our teachers have carried out in the classrooms, we had some special visitors to help us make this day remarkable. We have danced ‘bachata’ with Victoria de Gamma, a Spanish Teacher from Venerable Bede. We have also been reading stories in Spanish with Natalie Paris, a fantastic primary teacher and if this wasn´t enough we have had two special assemblies carried out by some pupils from year 5, 4 and 1.

Our children performed a play for the whole school, they sang Spanish songs such as ´El chocolate´ and they danced a  Spanish dance inspired by our amazing dance teacher, Danielle.

As you can imagine, our third ‘fiesta’ was a great success and both children and grown-ups had a fantastic day. ¡Bien hecho chicos y chicas!’
