On Tuesday 24 April, tiny eggs were dropped off at GPS in their incubator. The children watched carefully to see any signs of cracking and lots of the children watched the chick cam at home. By Friday, 7 fluffy baby chicks had hatched!

The children have been extremely sensible looking after the chicks and taking care of them, making sure they are well watered and fed. Lots of the children have been very brave and have held the chicks.

The children made such a strong bond to the chicks that it was only fair to keep some of them. We are keeping 3 of the chicks, and we've already bought them their very own luxury house - a chicken coop that will be sited outdoors in our courtyard, next to our classroom! The children are very excited and we hopefully will be collecting their eggs in no time!
